Revlon Nail Polish Collection ♡

Hi everyone, my name's Rhin and I'm a nail polish-aholic.
I have a lot of nail polishes, and I have to say that one of my favourite nail polish brands is Revlon. I feel like they last a good amount of time on my nails, they dry quite quicky, they're super glossy and very opaque and there are heaps of super pretty colours. I feel like they're just an overall amazing range so over the past year I've collected a fair few to say the least.

I'm gonna show you guys my collection so that if you're looking for a specific colour or want to see how these nail polishes look when they're actually on nails, this might help you :)

Just as a side note, I messed the order of them up so the order I wrote the names down is the order of the actual nail polish bottles from right to left :)

Huge Drugstore Makeup Haul ♡

Surprise surprise, it's another haul. This is quite a biggun so bear with me here haha. This was not purchased all in one go, this is everything I've bought since my last makeup haul ... yeah, I know I know, I just ... I need help.
________________________________________________________________________

 face

♥ I'll start with BB creams. I got this one from Garnier which I also featured in my July favourites*. I loooove this so much haha.

♥ I also picked up another Collection concealer in Warm-medium 3 which is also in my July favourites.*
♥ I also got the Rimmel stay matte powder. This is perfect for keeping your makeup on your face all day. I highly highly recommend this, I have mine in 001 transparent so it's perfect for all skin tones.
♥ Next is foundations. I wanted something that would be very light on my skin that would just make my skin look a little bit better without being heavy so I picked up the Revlon Nearly Naked. Once again, I have two because the first one I bought in 150 Nude was WAY too dark and made my face look orange. So I went back and got the one in 120 Vanilla which is perfect for my skintone. They're amazing foundations if you want something that's very light.

eyes

♥ I picked up a Nyx jumbo eye pencil in 614 Lavender. These fade a bit on me, but the colours are gorgeous and for the price they're quite good. And they have a maaaassive range of colours :)
♥ I got two Revlon eyeshadow palettes. First one is 010 Sweet innocence and I really freaking love this! It's nicely pigmented and lasts a long time on my lids and doesn't crease. It has six different colours which are all fairly neutral except for one dark purple and I've just found this very very handy. The other one I got was 585 Sea mist. They're both super good quality :)
♥ I also finally hopped onto the band wagon and got a Wet n Wild trio palette. I got the one called Walking on Eggshells in 380 and oh my goodness, this is SOOO GOOD! It's so pigmented and buttery and extremely velvety and easy to blend and lasts ages and doesn't fade or crease and wow. It's so incredible, and it's also really really cheap! If you haven't tried these yet then what are you waiting for!
♥ I also got a Revlon Lash potion mascara. I got this mostly because I was attracted to the packaging haha, it's a decent mascara, there's not much to say about it. It does the job and makes my eyelashes black :)

________________________________________________________________________

lips

♥ I got two of the Revlon matte balms (never one to miss a trend), one in 205 Elusive which is a beautiful slightly medium pinky shade, and one in 230 Complex which is a browny- orangy nude. I really like these chubby stick things, they last a decent amount of time and the colour payoff from these is soooo good! They're also super creamy and not drying at all considering they're a matte balm. I really highly recommend these :)
From left : Revlon 205 Elusive, Revlon 230 Elusive, Nyx Pure
Red, Revlon Juicy Papaya, Revlon 820 Pink Cognito
♥ I also got two more lipsticks from Revlon (whoops). I got the Revlon lip butter in 027 Juicy papaya which is a gorgeous coral orangey peachy pink colour. These are so super moisturising and they're quite sheer, I'd say they're halfway between a lipstick and a lipbalm but I've just really been liking it and their colour selection is huge and you have to go and try one haha :)
♥ I also got a Revlon super lustrous lipstick in 820 Pink cognito. It's a pink with slight golden shimmer in it, but it's very very sheer.
♥ Last but not least I got a Nyx matte lipstick in Pure red. It's a beautiful cherry red colour and they have heaaaps of different colours to choose from. The pigmentation in these is INSANE. They last super long on my lips and like the Revlon matte balms are not drying in the slightest even though they're matte. I just really really like this and I have to look into getting more of them :)

I hope you guys enjoyed this haul and
hope I've helped in some way and that I didn't buy too much ... I'm sure I'm not the only one that buys a ridiculous amount of makeup. Right? *nervous giggle*

Ciao xx

July Favourites ♡

July has gone sooo quickly that I almost can't believe it! August promises heaps of awesome new memories, but it also promises a monthly favourite. I've never done one of these before, but I've been thinking about doing one and I've loved so many things this month I just couldn't help myself. So here goes nothing.

Batiste original dry shampoo 90g, Collection Lasting
Perfection concealer in 3, Garnier BB cream in Light
I've been loving the dry shampoo from Batiste, I'm quite lazy when it comes to washing hair, so I spray this onto two or three day old hair and it does wonders. I have the original and the scent is quite strong, but if you don't mind the smell this is a great product to have and it makes managing your hair a whole lot simpler :) If you're from New Zealand, you can get this from most places but it's cheapest at Warehouse.

I've also been loving the pink-a-dot BH brush set, I got them earlier this month and they're very soft and I've just been reaching for them a lot. If you want to see photos I did a whole a blog review post on them :)

I've also really been loving the BB cream from Garnier. It's dewy, and lasts a long time on my skin and has decent coverage for a BB cream. It also smells good, is very moisturising and easy to blend into my face and I've just really been enjoying using it.

I've also been loving the original chapstick from Blistex. It has saved my lips this month and it's the most amazing thing I've ever put on my lips. I've been using it for two or three weeks and my lips have never ever been this hydrated. I did have it, but I've lost it so I'll insert another photo of it instead haha.

And possibly my favourite thing this month has been the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. If you watch youtube, basically ever beauty guru has raved about this concealer and for good reason too. It's incredible. It has high coverage and it lasts all day and it just .. ah. It's so amazing I cannot say enough good things about it.

Last favourite is a TV show. It's not a new series or anything it's actually quite old. It's Frasier. I've been binge watching it over the past few weeks and I'm not ashamed to admit that I own all 11 seasons and that I've watched most of them twice now. It's funny, extremely well written and witty and I've just really really been enjoying watching this haha :) If you're looking for a new tv show I highly recommend this one. My favourite seasons are the fifth, sixth and tenth.

I hope you guys have enjoyed this post and let me know in the comments what your favourites this month have been :) x

BH Cosmetics Pink a Dot Brush Set - Review ♡

1. Classic Shadow brush.                                          2. Tapered Shadow Blending brush.
3. Flat Eyeliner brush.                                               4. Angled Shadow brush.
5. Angled Blush brush.                                              6. Lip brush.
7. Powder brush.                                                      8. Tapered Eye Liner brush.
9. Classic Foundation brush.                                   10. Small Smudge brush.
11. Deluxe Fan brush.
BH had a new brush set, called the Pink-a-dot brush set which includes 11 brushes, all adorned with a pink polka dot handle and a pink polka dot case. I was in need of new brushes, and also thought these were super cute, and seeing as I had never tried any BH brushes I decided to get them :)

They come in a cute pink case, kinda like one of those old pencil cases you used to have in primary school. They've got two clicky things on each side so it's PERFECT if you're travelling so you can put your brushes inside without the worry of them getting damaged

Each brush inside comes wrapped in its own plastic cover.

The brushes themselves don't have names or anything on them other than the brand name and the polka dots. This doesn't bother me although I do think it would be quite nice if they had names on them saying what the brush does, like the Mac or Zoeva brushes do.

The brushes are all synthetic, and they are super duper soft. I was actually surprised at how soft these feel, they're probably one of the softest brushes out of my entire collection. The base of the hairs are black and the tips are a purply pink, it doesn't really show up in the picture but I swear they are coloured haha :)

The set has 11 brushes, four larger face brushes, six eye shadow brushes and one lip brush.

I've had these brushes for a while now and I've used each one heaps and they're all super good quality and the face brushes especially are super duper soft and apply product beautifully onto my face. I've washed all of them and none of them have shed but they have stained slightly.

I think these brushes are amazing quality, and especially for a cheap brand like BH cosmetics, I was very pleasantly surprised. The case which these brushes come in is a life saver if you're travelling. I highly recommend buying these, they're amazing quality and they'll look super cute sitting on your vanity :)

I bought mine off of beauty joint for $31, which for a case and 11 brushes is actually such good value for money!

Tell me what your favourite brushes are in the comments section :)

Boohoo Clothing Haul ♡

Hi everyone! :)
For those of you that don't know, Boohoo is an online clothing store and they're got some amazing clothing are pretty reasonable prices. They had a sale for 25% off of dresses, so I decided to buy a few things.
I ordered these on the 25th of June and they arrived on the 9th. This was a bit more than two weeks but considering New Zealand is in the middle of nowhere, this was pretty reasonable shipping time.
I was quite happy overall with the things I received, and would definitely buy more things from them :)

Jen Tartan Print Collar
Smock dress - size 6

First thing I got was this dress, which I was most excited to receive. It's a red tartan smock dress. It's got a small black collar at the top which I think is super cute. I am 157cm tall, or 5ft1. I am actually quite short for my age, but I found that this dress still fit me quite well, and it would also look gorgeous if you're taller. The fabric is lovely and it's very comfortable. I wore it with some black tights, and boots.

Cosette Teired Pleated
Babydoll dress - size 8

Next thing I got was this this dress, it's white and pleated. This dress is not opaque so you'd have to wear a cami underneath it so that your bits and bobs don't show. Other than that, the fabric feels lovely and it's quite comfy and very very pretty if you were tall enough for it :) The dress came half way between my knee on me. It's quite big, so I suggest buying one a size smaller than your usual size. I wore it with a heart shaped necklace and red Vans.
 ________________________________________________________________

Jess Club Swing dress
Size - 8
Last dress I got is my favourite out of all the dresses and it's a grey swing dress with dark grey specs. It's tight around the top and then it fans out as it goes along and it hangs beautifully at the bottom. Another thing I love about this is that when you spin, the dress twirls and does all that fancy stuff and it looks sooo pretty! I tried to take a photo of it spinning and it didn't work out but I promise it does spin! :) One thing that is problematic is that it is very sheer fabric, so you'd have to wear a cami and maybe nude coloured undies or else it will definitely show and you don't want that or else you'll just look silly haha. But otherwise, the fabric is comfy and soft and I love it :) I wore it with plain white socks and limited edition white Converse with little pink polka dots on them.

Holly Slash Neck Oversized
Tee - Size 6

This is probably my favourite purchase out of everything even though it's simple. It's a baggy white top and it hangs off your shoulder, and I don't have anything like this in my wardrobe. It's such soft nice fabric. It's not sheer fabric, although I'd still wear a cami underneath just incase. It's got tiny rips in the side and it's not too long or short, it's just perfect. It's so simple and easy to wear and I'm so happy I finally have this in my wardrobe :) I wore it with colourful leggings from Supré and cream flats from L.K Bennett.

Tiaami Ombre Printed
Leggings - Size 8
I'm addicted to leggings, I actually think I have a slight problem. Apart from sweatpants, they're like the only thing I wear. I love leggings that are unique, like ones with pretty patterns on them and these caught my eye and I instantly added them to my basket. They fit me really really nicely and they're a really nice length and I think if you were taller they'd fit you as well :) They're not the same fabric as typical leggings but they are still comfy and still do stretch. I think this would look great with a simple top, like the white one I got. Here I'm wearing it with a white cami and my red Vans again. I was also wearing a silver owl necklace from Forever 21 but I forgot to take a photo of it haha ;)

Janey Fur Trim Lace Up Boots - UK
size 3
Last but not least I got these boots which are absolutely adorable. They're black with fur on the inside and coming out the top as well. They're so so comfy and warm and I love love love them. I wore them yesterday and they're soooo comfy. They also look super duper cute! The UK size 3 is a NZ size 5, and I am a NZ size 3 so I was worried that they'd be too big for me, but they still fit all right with plenty of room left :) I wore these with a long, white knit and black leggings ... yes, leggings again.

The clothes at Boohoo are still on sale so you can still go and grab some while you can :)
